Continence Foundation of Australia (CFA) is the national peak body promoting bladder and bowel control health. It is a national not-for-profit organisation with a mission of providing all Australians with information and support to lead successful lives that are free of the stigma and restrictions of incontinence.
We designed a series of 10 multilingual, culturally adapted animated videos for Continence Foundation of Australia (CFA) with our partner, Punchy Digital Media — from scratch!
Often, health-related topics can be difficult to broach — especially topics such as incontinence, which tends to be surrounded in stigma.
CFA approached Ethnolink because they needed a team that understands how to engage culturally and linguistically diverse Australians respectfully and appropriately.
Ethnolink has had years of experience working closely with multicultural communities. We worked closely with Punchy Digital Media to develop multilingual videos that contained a cast of characters who were represented the diversity of Australian communities.
Additionally, our team closely reviewed CFA’s video script for cultural appropriateness. This was especially important because incontinence can be a highly sensitive topic for many cultures. To convey CFA’s information that was helpful and effective, Ethnolink made suggestions to the video script and on-screen text in each of the 10 languages.
